Krzysztof Grajper, who works under the name Grajper, is an award-winning Polish director and visual artist known for a surreal, futuristic, and experimental style that blends contemporary, real-life storytelling with surreal dreamscapes, multimedia art, and witty parody. He came to filmmaking by an unconventional route: he studied engineering but left the University of Technology to pursue his creative ambitions, working as a waiter until he had saved enough to buy his first camera, a Canon 5D Mark II. Entirely self-taught, he built his reputation from the ground up, and his favorite film, Lost in Translation, remains a major influence on his creative outlook. His career gained early momentum in 2016, when his music video for the Polish electronic duo Rebeka was selected as a Vimeo Staff Pick. He went on to direct some of the most celebrated videos in the contemporary Polish music scene, including "Tamagotchi" for Taconafide, as well as projects for Taco Hemingway, Brodka, Mrozu, and Szczyl, and his video "Feeling Exactly" for Bass Astral x Igo won Best Music Video at the 2020 Camerimage International Film Festival. Grajper has since moved into narrative television and large-scale commercial production, serving as 2nd Unit Director on the 2023 HBO Max Polish thriller series #BringBackAlice, and directing international campaigns for IKEA (a historic 20-spot production involving more than 200 people), McDonald's, Coca-Cola, Toyota, Adidas, Huawei, and Zara. He is represented by RESET for commercials in the USA.
